I randomly asked this on Facebook and regretted it!!! ;)

SO! As with everything these days i am spoilt for choice!

Which brand would you recommend from the options above for home use. The only things other then storage i am interested in is it acting as an iTunes server and Xbox streaming too.

If you have particular experience with a model let me know. :)

I'm going to recommend the NetGear ReadyNas Duo.

Been a brilliant investment for me has an easy interface to work with. Bonus for me was that you could put a newsgroups client on it so my box is happily churning out my downloads whilst I'm at work.

lol!! Damn my "other" option! I've got a ReadyNas at work, but read it was a little slow when trying to stream media.

Oh no way is it slow. I stream full HD stuff from the NAS upstairs to a PS3 downstairs over homeplugs and have never experienced problems. Also streamed multiple files to different sources and it's not struggled.

One of my better home entertainment investments although the fan is a little loud at times.

I will ask a good question to go along with this topic...... If you buy a QNAP or something like that what disks are you putting in them?
