Do your VMs reboot this quickly?

Not quite - I have a Windows Server 2003 VM running under KVM (on Debian Lenny) on a RAID 1 software RAID array. I'm still not sure if I quite get the idea of what KVM does that Xen doesn't - my other home server runs Debian Squeeze and Xen, and on there I can separatly mount VM disk images as working file systems. KVM seems to treat disk volumes differently, I can't simply mount a KVM file system outside a VM. My second server doesn't need hardware virtualisation support, either, which makes for a very cheap and low power-consumption device.
