MK-2 Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 ...if he could see the state of the new advert Yellow Pages have made. Day V Lately? So your first name is Day is it? And you spent all day dicking about various stores, it's probably on iTunes for 79p you tight git! Grrrr, why ruin a classic advert with some rubbish up to date version. There are other adverts they've messed about with that annoy me too
plexer Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Have you only just seen it? They started showing it a few weeks ago. There's an app for that. Ben
MK-2 Posted March 21, 2011 Author Posted March 21, 2011 Oh yeah I saw it ages ago, but the anger has been building
AyatollahPies Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I believe "J R Hartley*" is still with us, but I agree, he will be spitting feathers. *The actor that played him of course. There was no JR Hartley.

The actor passed away in 2001, he was called Norman Lumsden Somone actaully published the book in the 90's - Fly Fishing: Amazon.co.uk: J.R. Hartley: Books

john Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Saw this advert a bit since and was GRRRR not funny blasted people ripping off the classics. They will be bringing back Beatie next!
john Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 who? YouTube - "Ology", 1987 Your too young to know about her but I remember her
MK-2 Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 YouTube - "Ology", 1987 Your too young to know about her but I remember her Good old Beatie. You've got an ology....classic! Up next for remakes are: Smash Monster Munch (involving CGI monsters that take 3 years to complete and 6million quid)
creese Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 His daughter must hate him too. Lets him spend ages touring record shops before telling him he could do it online. I liked the line in Hawaii 5 0, "You don't know ******, lets "Bing it" ". Who the hell says "Bing it"
LeMarchand Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Who the hell says "Bing it" No-one, but at least MS getting some product placement (they seem to be making a bit of an effort of late, with WinMo 7 devices getting featured laughably prominently in quite a few shows) as opposed to Apple redresses the balance somewhat. Maybe I'm wrong, but despite the impression given by most shows I'm willing to bet that the average bank/police station/factory office etc etc in the States isn't stuffed full of top of the range Macs.
