Just wondering how you actually import video on and off the iPad ?

iTunes, or via an app, some of which also would let you drag onto their folders in iTunes if it's anything like the phone.

These are the exact reasons I tend to avoid Apple products like the plague. It's when those same reality bending "facts" make their way into their advertising too which really grinds me, and they continue to get away with it. I'll rarely say a product is outright bad, with the possible exception of the Airs, but it's mostly just my morals which prevent me from being able to say much good about that company. Ok, it's just marketing which translated to Modern English is another word for bull-poo, but at least other companies tend to actually check their facts or make them a bit more believable.

Samsung hasn't exactly been truthful either.

Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy Tab, the company’s answer to Apple Inc.’s iPad, isn’t selling as well as the company has let on.

In early December, Samsung announced it had sold 1 million, declaring that sales were going “faster than expected.” Then, in early January, Samsung announced sales of 2 million.

But during the company’s quarterly earnings call on Friday, a Samsung executive revealed those figures don’t represent actual sales to consumers. Instead, they are the number of Galaxy Tab devices that Samsung has shipped to wireless companies and retailers around the world since product’s formal introduction in late September.

Pressed by an analyst at an investment bank, the Samsung executive, Lee Young-hee, acknowledged that sales to consumers were “quite smooth,” though she didn’t give a specific number. (Source)

Oh well, I was looking forward to getting an ipad, but as I can't print from it without having to go through some third party app and I have to use iTunes to import video - [ how do you export it ? ] I don't think I'll bother !! Sounds too much of a hassle to me !!

The reason I would never get an ipad is the fact that the first ipad has a spot for the camera to sit already cut into the inner workings but was not included so they could add it to ipad v2 and make some more cash out off the Neanderthals that surround me.

That's a silly reason, so if there was a block of plastic there instead you wouldn't care?

Apple are not the only company who do things like this.....

When apple were just about to release the ipad they removed the camera, not for any technical reason as it was the same as the one used on the i-phone but from a lets make some cash stance and add it to v2. If your happy with that working practice then buy apple.

I would never buy a 3d tv for this reason. 3 years back a saw a demo of a glassless 3d tv system, it was very good. I did some reading and found out they were planning on releasing the need glasses versions even though it was possible to do it without so they can make money.

Yes lots of companies work like this, but I will not be spending my cash with them. you are all welcome to make these companies more money than they would have because they work like this but I don't think its right.

Most companies use channel figures to show sales, as getting end user sales figures would be very difficult - what are they going to do? Ask every retailer to give them totals each month?
