Thanks, getting a little worried but as a Network Manager at fewer than 20k surly I cannot lose more. Lets hope we all get a pay rise (wishfull thinking I know)

surely as an NM on less than 20k there is only 1 way to go!

How did you all do? For me it wasn’t too bad although there are some really odd results.

Financial resources are a 2

Emotional demands is a 1

Working Conditions 1

Everything else is pretty much spot on. But those three seem way off to me as I work directly with children with behaviour and learning problems. Financial resources I would have said is a 3.

Thinking about this more I might be much worse off. Have I got this right? Calculated pay is based on SCP x number of weeks pay ÷ 52 weeks. I get paid for 39weeks. So I end up at the top of my scale with a wage of £ 15,148 for a Network Manager! Edited by Pottsey

Technically those not on 52 say 39 weeks get more than 39 weeks as you got pro rota statuary holiday as well the LA will have formula that is used to work out part time hours..

I'm a systems manager and I went down to band A. Means a cut of about £1500. Not too bad considering what some other people seem to have lost. My two techs went up by a band, so they did ok out of it. Seems the people on higher wages got cuts and those generally on lower end salaries went up a bit.

Hope everyone else did ok.

Network manager in a school with 200 machines (ish), original JD assessed as scale 5. Now I need to have the 2 job descriptions since assessed and see how that works out.

I'd be interested to know what the sales people (specifications engineers), engineers and managers at EdIT are on - probably significantly more as they have to look after more schools/machines.

It still bemuses me that they have no sight on how much private sector workers get payed for similar jobs (for example, a network manager in a company with 200 machines may well be looking towards 30-40k and similar responsibilities), but I suppose it's the burden we have for public sector work

As ICT Manager I was on SO1 - regraded to 518 points which puts me in new Band A so a few more increments. (Top of scale now is £8,000 LESS than my previous job which I 'left' 5 years ago in the private sector - where I actually had less responsibility)

So... do you start at the bottom of the scale, or for example, I got 475 as a job score, do I start half way up scale 5?

Hmmm - interesting question. It looks that way, if it is then that's where you would have been in Sept 2008 so 3 years on you should be 3 increments higher? (or topped out). I can't find any reference to splitting the grades down.

The way it worked at county hall is if you took a pay rise you started at the bottom of the scale, then went up 1 spinal point per year of service.

Not sure what happened with pay cuts OFC they had the option of 3-5 year pay protection.

Not amazingly happy with mine, thought I’d be higher on 1 or 2 factors, can someone let me know what they got within the ICT 3 profile for Knowledge, Mental Skills, Initiative and Independence and Mental Demands. Would be happy if you preferred to pm me them, just starting to work out what factors to fight on.

I'm fairly sure these are for ICT3

Knowledge (the most important one!) 80 points

Mental Skills 52

Initiative... 52

Mental Demands 30

The points in the post by Paul10K relate to the factors on the ICT3 profile.

I agreed to the ICT3 profile, but I have not received the points above, the paraphrased reply from county is ‘the factors in ICT3 are just a starting point; they reviewed information from ICT3 post holders and adjusted the factors in the ICT3 profile’ .

I do not know where this additional information came from, but I will be appealing the grade.

I agreed with the factors on the original, I only want to be graded on what I agreed to. Has anyone else had similar problems?
