Job title: ICT Network Manager Responsible to: Head of ICT Responsible for: IT Technicians and designated school contacts Grade and Salary: Grade 8 - £35,336 - £39,571 per annum Working pattern: Full time Contract term: Permanent The role: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT professional to join Friesland and Wilsthorpe Schools within The Two Counties Trust, to develop and maintain our infrastructure across the trust including software, hardware and network maintenance. Our Trust is currently comprised of 9 schools, and you will be situated at two of the Trusts schools responsible for a team of technicians to support the delivery of an effect service to the school. You must have thorough knowledge of internet applications, networks and operating systems. What kind of price are you looking at?

Pete, what method did you use to contact avast? I've tried contacting them through the support pages/tickets but not had any response. Regards Paul

so, is everyone aware that Avast for Business Free is no longer available, and current users will need to pay for it when their next years free licence expires? I only found out by accident and then confirmed it by logging a support ticket. They're telling me I have 45 days left before it expires. Also, it's not possible to find out when your expiration date is from the console, support have to let you know. To say I'm disappointed ins an understatement and I've sent them a message to say as much. How late would they have left it before informing me that I needed to buy licences for it? Anyone else aware of/experiencing this? Cheers Paul

We had the same problem with emails, and found that as soon as it got passed on to Synetrix, they were on the case and it got resolved pretty quick really. Again, for us it was just a shame it took so long to be passed on to the people who could actually sort it!

I'm a systems manager and I went down to band A. Means a cut of about £1500. Not too bad considering what some other people seem to have lost. My two techs went up by a band, so they did ok out of it. Seems the people on higher wages got cuts and those generally on lower end salaries went up a bit. Hope everyone else did ok.
