I once gave a GF my last rolo for valentines day. All was well until she realised I'd ate the rest of the packet and not saved her any.

Seriously???? That gets a freeb based on pure lack of effort!

I once did the cheap Valentines present, well cheap as I made something. I bought a heart shaped cake tin, made a cake, iced it, put hearts on top and gave it to her. She was impressed.

normally its the card/chocs route, not really sure what to do this year, as have no card, cake, present so might be a rush to Tesco later.

i thought i'd be all romantic and book a meal for me and the missus at this nice italian, organised the baby sitter as this was the first time since having little girl we had been out for valentines day ( in three years). After hour and half we still haven't been seated so we left and got a takeaway and where back by half nine, she was not impressed.

I've always found that cooking the meal yourself leads to mega brownie points with the other half. So I did this last year. Rather than paying a fortune to go out, I cooked a nice meal, with candles wine etc etc.

I then gave her the present I'd got her.....a "wii fit" (which she'd said she'd wanted as she thought it would help her lose a bit of weight)......"Are you saying I'm fat" :-o There's no winning with some people :-)

We are still together though, and this year I've gone for the build a bear option, it has to go down better than the Wii Fit!

Oh I do have an account with you guys, did you know that?

We sure did (we weren't being too fastidious with the account thing) extra special Freeb on it's way

Just got my freebie through the post. I must say I'm impressed. I was expecting a lot less. I will hopefully score bonus points tonight now.

You just need to run another freebie promo on her birthday now. :)

Thanks CP.

Muchos thanks from here as well... Though opening it in the office to see what it was may not have been the best idea... got glittery stuff all over the floor now!

Mine turned up, now should I visit Tesco on the way home and get some Valentines wrapping paper and make a feable attempt at wrapping it, or in true style just hand it over in bubble wrap and CP-Ltd tape ;-)
