Greenpeace's answer to that video

i do hope greenpeace never come a knocking for donations as im assuming that advert wasn't cheap as they'll most likely have hired a professional company for the effects

@JJonas:

Truly your finest moment sir and being that I am an avid VW fan I feel that you were right to bring peoples attention to this which in my mind is appalling given that VW has always been at the forefront of high quality auto-mobile manufacturing.

Seems I have choices to make regarding my next car purchase! :(

Seems to me if Greenpeace had it's way we would all be back 150 years to riding horses, oh wait that would be cruel to horses, walking, well only as far as our vegitarian bodies would carry us with the reduced energy that we would have.

You can get special effects software Houdini for nearly free so effects won't cost that much if they have an expert at CG in their ranks doing it for cheap. :)

To be honest I'd much rather they spent their money on legal protest in line with their stated values - i.e. things that raise awareness as this does - than some of the more questionable direct action some of their members get up to when let off the leash.

I wish they would give more info rather than just VW opposes this bill. For all we know the bill may have a stipulation that every car has a huge rubber dildo as a hood ornament buried deep within it. Also some of the youtube commentors say, why pick on VW? They make some of the most fuel efficient cars. Why not the super car companies or even the American car industry? Once again it seems Greenpeace has gone for cheap shots or the publicity factor rather than something actually worthwhile.
