rh91uk Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hello all, I would be very interested to hear if any of you have integrated Outlook 2011 for Mac to configure automatically with Exchange 2010? Obviously very easy to do in Windows but not much so in Mac! Cheers rh91uk
jlucas Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I've also been looking for a solution to this for the past few weeks. The best I've done is put a how to guide on the VLE but we all know how much they are used!

Carter Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I use OutLook for Mac daily. It's very easy to setup & my opinion is that it's better looking and easier to use than Outlook for Windows. We use exchange here & it's been a breeze to use. When I have someone with an issue with Entourage I know longer try to fix the issue, I just upgrade them to Office 2011 and that's it. With this I can honestly say that Apples built in Mail.app has some work ahead of it's self to be as nice as Outlook. I used Mail.app with our exchange until Office 2011 was released. I have no interest in using Mail.app anymore.

Carter Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I am hoping we can import the settings using a plist (so teachers and staff dont have to configure it themselves) - will keep you posted I have users here that I'm lucky if they know how to turn a computer on but when it came to running Outlook & either signing in with a new account or doing the import it's very straight forward. I think pushing out a .plist would be more work than needed. It really is easy. That being said our exchange server is setup so that when they enter in their email adress when first setting up it auto figures out the server etc.
