Telnet, from Wikipedia:

TELNET (TELetype NETwork) is a network protocol used on the Internet or local area network (LAN) connections. It was developed in 1969 and standardized as IETF STD 8, one of the first Internet standards. It has limitations that are considered to be security risks.

It also sucks from a security standpoint. There should be no situation where you can use telnet that you can't use SSH instead.

[webman]

A lot of embedded devices such as switches, routers, wireless access points and network-capable printers support telnet.

[Dos_Box]

Lots of devices use it. I do not.

I have a feeling callumtuckey's next question will be....

'Whats a computer & how do I use it ?' ;-)

[Midget]

Or "I want to be a l33t hax0r and break into Gatt's system. How do I do it?"
