elsiegee40 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Oh please tell me how to do that! I'm fed up with 'friends' picking bushels of grapes. I used to be quite hooked on Farmville, but haven't been near it for months. Unfortunately the 'friends' haven't cottoned on to that fact yet! Hover over the upper right corner of the application story and a "Hide" button will appear. By clicking on the "Hide" button, two more buttons will appear to hide the friend who is sharing the story, or hide the application. Clicking on the latter will prevent all stories from that particular application from appearing on your home page. If the story is from an application that was created using a separate parent application, all stories from the parent application will also be prevented from appearing on your home page. Bye bye Farmville 1
GeeHubb Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Excellent - job done. Only problem is there's no nothing on my FB.....
pooley Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I find stalkerbook only bearable using firefox or chrome and the greasmonkey script FFixer, I set it to hid all App, Like, Friend, Video stories etc, so I only see the inane postings of friends and relatives...... why am I using facebook again??
RyanBTBizDirect Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Definitely agree with the Twitter comment. There can be so much spam but it's just about taking the time to follow the right people and engage in their conversations. I don't find that I get spammed often or read any sort of marketing and advertising copy while I'm on there.
fedora_explorer Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I've never seen the point in Facebook. My other half is on it all the time but I just don't get it. I use Email, phone, text and MSN to contact my friends. I have never seen the point in logging onto face book and seeing pictures of them and hearing their status updates. I understand why people do it to contact friends and family who they don't see that often.
