localzuk Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Just found out we've got Ofsted in Weds/Thurs. Been working my butt off the last few weeks, as we knew they'd be here this term, to make sure as much is working as possible. Time for a couple of quiet days I think! Usually what happens when Ofsted are in.
tech_guy Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Fingers crossed for you all and I hope all goes smoothly. Get some beer in for the end of the week
bladedanny Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Hope it goes ok, we've got them in tuesday/wednesday.
rad Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Best of luck, just dont fall for the "its urgent" or it hasnt worked in ages requests.
Butuz Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Have fun! Make sure you have all your documentation straight - you'll probably be interviewed (if your the NM)!! Butuz

featured_spectre Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 If it is urgent, do not do it, because everything will come under the its urgent list. I learnt that the hard way. Teachers should report any errors as they occur, not when they need it desperately for OFSTED. Staff here now know to log it properly! lol
localzuk Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 Ah, typical. Got my first couple of annoying things that shouldn't happen to deal with. 1. Iffy switch 2. Running out of IP addresses in one of the subnets. Joy!
Marci Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Aye, Ofsted haven't didn't so much as sniff at our door when they came a few weeks back. No interest in IT team. All they wanted was Wireless access (made `em sign an AUP agreement first), and a copy of our IT Policies, which were handed over to the head to issue to them on Day One. Never heard anything else from `em.

They enter a lot of stuff directly into a web portal now, ours came armed with a 3G Dongle but the signal was poor and it stopped working so ended up with one of them based in my office for half a day to enter the data online in this portal !!!
