albertwt Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 that's why man I ask in this forum too :-)
januttall Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 if you want the easy way of learning the IOS, commands and things then you could always try using Packet Tracer from Cisco if you are enrolled it is a free download and the online chapters interface with it to create practical sessions 1
DAZZD88 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 @albertwt Just for reference, how much would that kit set you back? 1
bio Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 No need to buy hardware ...just use GNS3 bio.. 1
plexer Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 You can use packetracer to further your knowledge and it's good for when you are away from your lab but nothing beats hands on with the actual hardware. Ben 1
albertwt Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 it is from here: Cisco CCNA LAB 2 - 2 Switches 2 Routers (eBay item 260680696561 end time 19-Nov-10 21:30:37 AEDST) : Computers or Cisco CCNA LAB consisting of 2 routers and 2 switches. (eBay item 260689649468 end time 22-Nov-10 16:09:04 AEDST) : Computers around AUD $ 200-250 which one would you pick ? and yes I do have and use GNS3 but haven't tried Dynamips yet.
cpjitservices Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 The easiest way is to get your own Kit, and use Cisco CBT NUggets (which I Have). Packet Tracer is OK but some commands are missing especially when you start to get into VLAN's. Honestly the new CBT Nugets Rule! 1
albertwt Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 @albertwt Just for reference, how much would that kit set you back? it is AUD $ 250.
