Nah, my priority would be seeing how many staplers I can flog on eBay before they kick me out.

Joking aside, I've got two friends at Becta who soon will have to look elsewhere for employment. It's not a nice time and next week a lot more of us are going to be in the same boat as them.

Of course it's not nice, but they aren't alone. My whole family work for various departments at county hall, and out of 4 of them, 1 may have a job next year. I'm sure everyone here knows someone who is affected in a similar way.

Just have to remind yourself that you did a job before, the job still needs to be done, even if tomorrow it's for a different company.

Except that with many of these Quangos, they are simply disappearing and their functions eliminated... Not transferred.
