Im gussing Delivery Costs Only, Will See If We can do this for free (Asking tomorrow)

 

Any one in need for any old laptops?

 

My boss seems to want to give them to a primary school or something, he doesnt want to just chuck them out.

 

 

- These are all Acer laptops

 

- All should come with chargers

 

- Can Reinstall XP (Home or Professional, depending what come preinstalled, as we will have to use to product key that came with it, will update the laptop list with what licence they come with)

 

- We can install ubuntu on them witch may work quicker than XP (Only gussing)

 

- We can wipe/format the hard drives, and you can do what you want with them

 

 

 

Want them all to go, being sitting in our stock room for ages!, im having a massive clearout in them at the momment, there in the way. xd

Has this laptop has not got built in wireless we can supply a pcmia wireless card for free if required. (We haven't got enough wireless cards for all the laptops that havent got wireless through)

But would be interested in some of the higher end ones if that is possible?

 

Would it just be a case of paying the delivery costs? :D

We'll also take most computer equipment (well stuff you're throwing out before anyone says anything ;)) as we're getting lots of requests for basic IT provision and no budget for them.

Looks like a three way fight for all of them then ;) Could you PM me your location so I have an idea where we would have to collect them from (Rough Area is fine for now)

Are you all from schools?

 

Think the boss will only give to a school

 

Also how to you want the laptops?

 

XP reinstalled? (with product key used from the bottom of the laptop)

 

ubuntu installed?

 

Just the hard drives wiped?

just waiting on the headteachers approval at the momment, then we decide what to give to people, might be able to give one or two out to other people, hopefully I'll be able to get an answer tomorrow

 

nephilim, should be getting all or nearlly all if we give one or two out to the othere guys here, his school is most in need of them!

Not a problem thanks for getting back to us well then if the headteacher gives the go ahead then I do without and let nephilim have it. since his school really needs them.

If we get the say so tomorrow, what you you want done with the laptops?

 

 

The basic installs?

 

Adobe Flash, Adobe Shockwave, Adobe Air, Adobe Reader, Java, All Microsoft Updates

 

Anything else, Open Office? Quicktime? Realplayer? 7Zip?

 

 

Up to you, just let us know what you want installing

 

 

Also each laptop can come with a carry case, we have like loads and loads of spare laptop cases!

Windows (as per OEM sticker on the machines)

 

If you could do all the basics, along with Paint.net (if that is ok) and Pivot (I can supply the link)...Although both not a requirement before getting here. And each with a carry case would be exceedingly handy! :D
