pritchardavid Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Does any one know to get jumpstart working on it fully? I cant seem to be able to get the full icon on it? Neowin sates to use a 32x32pixels ico, I have done this and its still not a full icon (Same has the top left corner) Neowin.net - Optimizing Your Site for Internet Explorer 9's New Features: Part 1 I have manged to get the jumpstart task list working fine www.ockendonschool.com
ZeroHour Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I would probably start looking at the proper MS instructions at: Pinned Sites: Windows 7 Desktop Integration with Internet Explorer 9 rather then neowin IE9 Resources Internet Explorer 9 HTML5, CSS3, Compatibility, and More | MSDN 1
pritchardavid Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 Thanks for that somehow missed those links you have me, been searching for ages
MatthewL Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Has anyone downloaded the beta yet and had a look? I did last night and it's not too bad, doesn't seem to be too slow either, still prefer firefox!
Midget Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I've been using it on my work laptop since it was released, just removed it though as it's just not 100%. The Wordpress website has loads of bugs with it, MSCRM is sketchy, and i've had a few little bugs pop up during normal use. Once it's released I'll upgrade though as it's got a few good improvements. However I'll still use Opera as my main browser
Edwardjr Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I've been using it for a few hours now, has potential and really like it's refined clean interface. Internet Explorer 9 Beta review -- Engadget
mb2k01 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I've been using it for a while. Oddly the only problem I've noticed other than Moodle is with it is on Edugeek - on some threads the page width seems to grow and allow you to scroll left and right in to loads of empty background.
pritchardavid Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 Only problem I have is it crashes sometimes, but this may not be internet explorers problem, could be to do with adobe flash 10.2 beta
Kitkatninja Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Has anyone downloaded the beta yet and had a look? I did last night and it's not too bad, doesn't seem to be too slow either, still prefer firefox! Been using it since Wednesday, I like the look and feel of it (although I miss the search in the top right of the screen, and still unsure of the moving of the favorites, etc to the right instead of leaving it on the left). I can see me using it more often than not. Haven't had any real problems with accessing sites, etc... However as I play around with beta software anyway, the odd crash doesn't really bother me. -Ken
Dave84 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Ive installed it tonight. First impressions: Fast, Clean interface, will have to get used to favourites being moved to the right! Search doubling up as address bar is a bit annoying and the fonts are slightly fuzzy on some websites.
LukeC Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 seem to be having problems with the LGFL admin time to go back to ie8
