I am about to install BESX and seeking a few tips before I start!

We are only having a few devices in school - do people recommend to install on our Exchange server or a server on its own? I know Blackberry state install on Exchange for upto 75 users, but having never done this before and if things so wrong...

Having not started the install yet, how difficult have people found it installing and configuring? I wasn't expecting it to be all that complicated, but having read an installation guide - second thoughts on that opinion!

Any other tips people might have from previous experiences would be appreciated before I begin.

Thanks

I was going to install it on our Exchange server here but we went down the iPhone route in the end. If you can then I would setup a virtual machine to install and test it on first before even thinking about the real thing, if that's not possible then make sure you thoroughly read the installation guide and know it inside out before beginning. Ensure you have all the recent backups you would need to restore back to before the install if all goes tits up :)

Good luck :)

The setup itself is not difficult, I'm having problems assigning handsets to users i just keep getting an error something along the lines of "The Blackberry Administration Server is unable to get some device attributes from the device" or there abouts anyway.

So if you manage to get that far please do let me know how you did it as i've been pulling my hair out for days over it! :(

Thanks,

James.
