There it is. Dead, buried and unsupported. Must come as a bit of a wrench to Simon this as he's only just upgraded his schools from Win 98 to 2000

I liked Windows 2000 Pro, very clean looking OS. When it came to the server version i much prefered 2003.....

00001010 roughly translates to '10', but depends on local dialects etc etc.

I still have a Win 2000 server knocking about, admittedly it not a mission critical device, but it does it job quietly without any trouble.

I will have to go tell it its official dead now

We still have a 2000 server and some clients runnign 2000. My home pc is 2000 too.

Our last 2000 server went last summer too, along with the last 2000 client back at Christmas I think (finally managed to upgrade the PC it was on to run XP). Was a great OS, but we found here with our GP setup that it took an age to log on, where XP doesn't. We're only just looking at moving from the 'Classic' UI on our Windows 7 machines now, all the XP ones still look old school.
