Are the server UNC path's correct? I noticed in the screenshot that the drive information was showing 3000% full, which leads me to belive that the user either cannot get to the drive, or something else isn't working properly

I have updated to 5.2.6 and tested the renaming funtion.

 

The renaming of drives is now not allowed (thanks) but renaming files still doesnt work as a user would expect.

 

when you rename a file, if you do not insert the file extension it misses this off. Which means if you then go to open the file after the rename it doesnt know what applciation to open it in.

 

I hope this makes sense. If not let me know and I will send you a few screen shots

After gthe update to 5.2.6 you no longer get the option to right click and choose upload when in the root of your my docuements, the upload option (when right clicking) only appears when you hover over a folder or when inside a folder

The enablereadto/enablewriteto uses Active Directory groups not the AD OU's. Sorry to say

Change password is doable, but the email address, well you don't want kids changing that. The logout button has been discussed. Because of the way we authenticate, you need to close the browser to logout

Is there anyway you could include a 'report a problem' form in HAP which will grab the persons username, browser, OS and other relevant details and allow them to enter a message then email this to support or record it someone for admins?

nick, cracking piece of software. was just wondering if and how it would be possible to add a logout facility to the main page (default.aspx)

just a basic bit of text they click on to clear the authentication and return them to the page before login. or if possible being able to add it to the set of icons in the web.config

 

i had tried: FormsAuthentication.Signout() but to be honest i don't know anything about asp and that was just from googling it for help.

"Please enter a different name for this file/folder or press cancel to keep the current name."

 

Or something would be better.

How does everyone get around the internet security dialog box when downloading a file from home access plus?

 

Do you just tell your users they add it to trusted sites and get them to change the security level?

 

Just wondered if there was anyway of achieving this without users having to do anything

We use a paid for SSL cert, which does away with the security box. The yellow box at the top of the page is another matter, and just needs doing onces per session. (Annoying I know, but IE is annoying like that)

v5.2.8 is now available on Home Access Plus+. There is a 1 line addition to the web.config for the change my password box, which you will need to copy and paste into your web.config
