Changing the 'My School Computer' is easy enough:

Open up MyComputerSL.aspx and scroll down to line 60 to alter.

In terms of general look and feel, first place to start for colours etc would be the css files - there's a couple in the root plus ones for the booking system and helpdesk in their respective folders. Best way to see how they affect the site is to change bits and see what happens (all backed up, obviously..:))

Thanks for your reply.

The general look and feel of the site we have managed to tweak by doing exaclty as you suggested... and making sure we took backup's excesivly :)

In regards to the MyComputerSL.aspx, line 60 is part of the

I cant see anything in here which changes the text that is displayed on the layout of the extended computer browser.

The specific bit we'd like to change is as best I can describe it the "folder path list" just above the documents and just beneath the "home", "new folder", "view" tool bar on the file browser pages. I suspect this might be part of the silverlight / javascript coding, but i'm not sure.

If you can shed any more light on this, it would be great.

As the environment we are placing this utility is not a school, it would be nice to remove the references to "My School Computer"

Many Thanks

I think the line I was talking about should be a couple of lines above your line 60 then:

My School Computer - Extended Version

That only changes the title on the page though, not the folder path - I suspect you're right about that being in the silverlight code.

I think we found that line and changed it....

It would be nice if we could change the bit i'm talking about, but we're not really into silverlight programming, so was hoping some one on here might know how to change this.

Here's hoping that Nickbro can shed some light on this if he's not too busy.

Thanks

Hi

Having now done a full install of HAP, and got it working.... we are having intermittent issues on a regular basis with downloading files. Once downloaded, they corrupt. Some files open with no problems, and on other occasions, the server times out.

We have other websites running on the server, and dont experience any loss in conectivity to them.

Has any one seen this before, and any ideas where we might start looking for problems? We don't think its an internet connection problem as the other websites stay up and running.... could it be that HAP has a time out or struggles when multiple files are accessed at the same time?

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

I installed on Srv08R2 and followed all instructions as per the youtube vid except for the ICACLS portion I got from another thread.

This error happens if I click a drive in the basic view. In silverlight view there are no drives shown so cant click.

If I login as an admin I can see the silverlight version and the drives show, but when I click a file to view/download/rename etc it throws the error attached, though I can browse through folders ok...

Incidentally, is it correct for the Test Settings button in Basic Settings for the hap application to report back 'Invalid Application Path'? error.jpg

I'm sure I've missed something....

What's the URL of the page it's trying to get to?[/QUOT

Nick, when I try and open a document it is going to the following url:

url + /Download/servername/data/documentname.doc

that seems to have cured it, thanks Nick!

overwrite mycomputersl.aspx from the HAP+ Web ZIP from codeplex, should fix the problem. If it doesn't replace chs.master with masterpage.master

I've been tinkering trying to fix it but am suffering from this 'given key not present dictionary' problem

My hapconfig file seems to be in order, no back or forward slashes mixed up or ending with a slash. This is the message from Application Even log on the server when I right click and choose download on a file in silverlight version.

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer.
