kevbaz Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 but will be to blame for the network not being stable
Rydra Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 tvcatchup is a live stream, i believe it's a few seconds behind BBC, but live enough to watch. With normal buffering, you won't notice the difference. TVCatchup - Never Miss A Show Again How/where it gets the feed from I do not know, but it will provide an alternative to the BBC site, which will no doubt be lagged to death 1
rad Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 TV Ariel and a freeview box all set up, downside is, we have a speaker in the hall till 3.10, i have already spoken to the organiser to move her to the Library for book signing etc.
sidewinder Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Little scare just now where I couldnt get my freeview working but all ok now, and Ive managed to find a 24" TFT to use for the afternoon Shame I cant have a beer here!
solitaire89 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 That's it - I'm dead. I should have killed the network. Why can't people understand!
gaz350 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 it could be bbc iplayer that is struggling, we have access to a backup line that is on its own ISP and iplayer is stuttering even on that and only a handful of people have access to it. (we have no kids on wednesday afternoons from 2.15 so i know its not them!)
solitaire89 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 You're spot on - it's not the wireless that's the problem, surprisingly. It's iPlayer/TVCatchup that aren't "playing ball"... But, obviously it's my fault it's not working. I repeat, why don't people understand that the problem may not be anything to do with the site.
Jiser Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Have to listen to it on ESPN radio Watched last match in systems admin office with surround sound. Not this time everyone to busy and its only 11 am. + Don't have updated flash or the right proxy to watch it.
Jobos Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Projected the game on the big screen in the hall but it was baking in there so me and the caretaker went into the air conditioned suite and watched it on the 50” plasma. I forgot the tv switches off at 4:25 and when it did the look on the caretakers face was priceless
