Well, it may be that there will be an EduGeek event in the south later this year. Actually a joint event with Microsoft if it all pans out, at their UK HQ in Reading, so there is absoloutly noexcuse for any of you to miss it as it will be held during an autumn half term break.

Once we've got Spain and Denver out of the way I shall get more done in sorting this out. \there is also the possibility of an event north of the border, but we shall have to wait and see about that.

 

Sounds good. That's only 3 hours travel for me, compared to the 6 or so for the Preston one. Getting time off work would be the difficult one (even during 'holidays')...

As always i am up for reading, i like going to there HQ anyway catching up with all the Microsoft Folk.. i never did get the time to go upstairs with Ben to see his demo lab! :( have to make a point of doing that if it happens and ben is around :D

 

True though no excuses, much closer than preston :D what more do you want... ;)

Sounds like a good idea to me... if I actually get let out of the office to go to BETT!

 

There's always Saturday, if you can put up with the hordes of kids freebie hunting, but last year we did grab one and wrap him up in cling film!

What about travelling on the overnight Sleeper train? That would get you to Reading early in the morning.

 

could do! Driving test is tomorrow, so might even road trip it! (should i pass, which fingers crossed i will! (5th time lucky eyy ))

An hour and a half on a train from Brum to Reading - Direct line AFAIK. Not far at all! You gotta be there, Little-Miss!!

And the Novotel is just around the corner from the station and a free shuttle bus runs to the Microsoft HQ from train station as well. Edited by Dos_Box

Haha, that's absolutely hillarious. Almost as good as emailing all staff asking what shoe size they are as you were getting ice skates in due to the swimming pool being frozen - best April fools ever IMHO. Still, I think I could deal with it, after all I managed London Expo on a Saturday and that is FULL of kids.

Sounds brilliant - was going to go to Portugal...but I'd rather go to Reading!

Mm Reading from Yorkshire - do-able I think. Depends on when Autumn half term is, but I'm up for it (or down - as in south - in my case)

Sadly Autumn half term is no good for me as am off to San Diego (which was cancelled courtesy of BA at spring half term!!!) meant had to rebook. Sorry would love to have made it down there :)
