Hope theres not a survivalist trophy for taking out the cougars with a knife, I'm scared to do this with the wolves. I've not come across bears yet either... (bit scared)

There is - it's not too bad though, and you only have to kill 2 - quite easy if you pass someone on the road being chased by 2 cougars :-D

I think there's a bear one too, and I'm not looking forward to that - they're mental!

Awesome game though...

I ordered it last night from Amazon, £35, that'll keep me busy over the half term break :)

Take a look at these, there are some hilarious glitches! (don't know if the videos are in the link, saw them last night on a different site):

EDIT: Looks like this site has the videos :)

I know this is an old thread but I picked up RDR for £15 the other day, loving it!

Wasted far too much time playing poker tho! Finding the missions a bit easy atm, even capturing crims alive etc.

Where you get it from?

I have meant to play RDR for a while now but never got around to it.

This is still an immense game, probably the best I've played that has all round playability. Varied missions, fun side missions, a chance to just wander, a chance to hunt (try legging it with 3 bears behind you).

Even the mini achievements are good, like shoot the hats off three people, or shoot a bird while standing on top of a moving train. Just the little things that add gameplay to it.

Just finished the storming of the fort in about 10 hours of play, about 3 or 4 of those has been playing poker lol!

I haven't started any side quests yet, only the wanted dead or alive missions for $.

Yeah I've got this! It's fantastic fun. I played a little multi player with my brother which was good fun, think theres some nice rewards for finishing the challenges on there.

I'm Smelly_Aston on Psn (I'm not on so much latley been playing alot of eve)

some of the side quests are great. although word of warning. any time a woman stops you on your horse asking for help, 99% chance you'll be ambushed and she was set up. or if a guy shouts that he wants a lift, 99% chance he will pull you off the horse and ride off (which is where a long rifle helps to pick him off :D)

I think the hunting challenge at one point wants you to kill 3 bears in a row. Which is great fun except when you kill one bear, usually three of four come running to see what has happened, so you are quickly surrounded and your horse is usually the first to peg it, especially as you have to skin them! I once ended up running away with 3 bears chasing me until I could stumble/slide down a cliff away from them. but you can hear them running behind you and you know that once you're knocked down, you're dead.

Bears you are usually talking about need a few shots of a rifle to kill. You can kill them one shot but it means waiting until they are nearly on you, then dead eye and hit them right between the eyes but you also need a really powerful rifle (i think its a variant of the hunting rifle). Anywhere else and it injures them only. So no you can't sit on your high horse and pick them off :p

I don't quite get the multi player aspect yet, I'm approaching it like CoD but that doesn't seem to work for me!

I've never tried to shoot a cod... interesting...

On a more "serious" note, the multiplayer is great if you have a couple of mates to play with, me and my brother go on just to take people out whilst they're attempting missions :mullet:

Fish in a barrel and all that....

Annnny way, I dont have any mates with RDR or xboxes for that matter, they are all PS3 fan boys.
