mattx Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Anyone know where the hell is the MAC address located on the Samsung Monte range of phones ?
SYNACK Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 In the DHCP list of whatever access point you connect it to, which could be the easiest way to find out. Otherwise I would look under the battery as wireless ids and such are supposed to be listed on the device if I remember correctly.
glennda Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Underneath the battery on the label or somewhere similar?
mac_shinobi Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 where did you find it - normally stuff like that is listed on the box it came in as well as on the device itself
mattx Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 Can't remember - just get rid of the phone - [ the wife is having mine - it's terrible ] I'm going back to Nokia.
mac_shinobi Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Can't remember - just get rid of the phone - [ the wife is having mine - it's terrible ] I'm going back to Nokia. I thought you said you were getting an iPhone !! *tongue in cheek* hehe lol Something wrong with the HTC / Android phones ?
mattx Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 I thought I would take to one of these new type phones with a touch screen but I hate them. The mp3 audio on the monte is just awful, the T9 keyboard thing is awful, navigating your way around it is awful, using it is just awful, example: making a call to your voice mail - you have to make the call, then un-lock the phone so you can use the keypad but to get to the keypad you have to press a few buttons first - it's just awful. I've been using phones since they were bricks [ had to 'cos of one of my jobs ] - I would rather go back to one of those than have to spend another week with this awful phone. I thought I would be 'cool' and 'clever' by having one of these types of phone but how wrong I was !!! Made a big mistake and I will hold up my hands. All I want is a phone that does simple things like make a phone call and send a message. Why on earth I thought I would be able to do more is a mistake I have now made and will never make again. So the wife can look 'cool' and 'modern' with it in a few weeks, I'm going back to a Nokia - don't what one - one which I can pick up for about £30 which will hopefully just do the basics.
mattx Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 hows about this That's for me. Shame it won't wipe my bum for when I soil myself.
3s-gtech Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I had a Monte, just about got on with the UI (and iPlayer looks good on it) but I couldn't get on with it as a phone, and the battery only lasted two days. Gone to a C905 now, all the features plus a better camera and a real keypad.
