10101010 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 How much is your school spending on Printer Toner per annum ?
fafster Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Our school used to spend a fortune before introducing print management software. Whereas before there'd be a lot of waste (i.e. impatiently clicking the print icon), now we have very little due to flow control.
Edu-IT Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Our school used to spend a fortune before introducing print management software. That, and printers not working (Grr!) has cut down print volumes here.
elsiegee40 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Hmm, I feel that this poll is meaningless (sorry if that sounds rude) I run a network of 40 pcs with under 250 staff and students combined. I think my ink bill is high, but it would barely feature by some standards! Some schools have 1800+ pupils alone! A per-head poll would be more meaningful
Sylv3r Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 £8500 per year for 150 staff and 1450 students. 960 Workstations and around 60+ printers and photocopiers.
Kipling Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 £8052 last year for roughly 1100 combined staff and pupils, on 400+ workstations and about 40 printers. So that’s roughly £7.32 per person or £201.3 per printer.
maniac Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Well over 10k last year, I don't have an exact figure as finances got in a right old mess towards the end of last year. This year (Since September) however, I've only placed 2 toner orders costing about £2000 a time - that's because we introduced print management and the costs have come right down - result! Mike.
laserblazer Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Hardly anything now because all colour printing goes to networked photocopiers. It means a bit of a walk to get the copies, so most don't bother. There's next to no waste and more.
Cache Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Just over 6k this last year - about 80 staff, 420 pupils, 50 printers. Doing a lot of work with suppliers and looking at print management at the moment.
