Go Daddys Customer Support sucks a bit, I have my SSL certificates with them (as they are cheap and handy) but it really isn't good support, took many days of nagging to get it sorted but now its working its fine and renewals should be easier I was told :)

What exactly are these stats based on? Purely what has been hosted on them? I have a server with Joe's Data Centre and they're hardly a bad host, very good in fact. The "top bad hosts" title is very misleading.

They're a bad host in the sense that they're bad for the Internet at large. If your hosting platform is being used for malicious activity and a) you're not bothering to monitor for such or b) you don't investigate / investigate promptly reports of X being done via your network, you're a plague on the Internet.

Everyone else on the Internet > Hosting providers customers.

Ahh, that makes sense then. I would suspect that Joe just hadn't had them reported, they're not really that big a company in terms of man power so probably not going to be watching over servers all the time (only do dedicated and VPS anyways, and they won't monitor other people's servers unless they have a valid reason to do so).

Still, it may be a bit misleading, don't you think? They're not necessarily a bad host, they've just had dodgy stuff put on their servers by customers and either haven't had it reported or they've removed it and the customer has just put it back on, I highly doubt any of these guys would stand for actual dodgy stuff being put on their servers if they knew about it.
