machin05 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Has anyone else NOT been receiving emails to their hotmail accounts today? I've not had a new email all day, despite buying something from ebay, using paypal and sending test message from work...
tech_guy Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Yeah, I was panicking as I usually get one from the better half at lunchtime and was a bit concerned when I didn't get one as she's not been well recently. Looks like there's a problem as others aren't getting any coming through either.

I have just sent an email from my hotmail account to my work email account and that arrived instantly The Login Page seems to have changed so maybe the're making some changes. James. machin05 Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 Not just me then! I think this is the first time since I've been on hotmail (10 years?) that it's played up... AFAIK that login page has been like that for about a week now so I don't think it's related.

It changed for me over a week ago! Maybe they're rolling it out gradually and something happened with it that stopped some email accounts today.

"Instant" news spreads real quick on there.

How many times has Gmail gone down in the last 12 months compared to Hotmail? I will rise to the email wars. I could do with a Skydrive program for Ubuntu though as it allows me to store 25gb rather then ubuntu one's 1gb. Chilbs

Well, I'm not sure about 'compared to Hotmail' as I don't use Hotmail, but I can safely say that I've never witnessed any outages on my GMail. It's always been working the times I've needed it (and considering they come straight down to my G1 that's most of the day I use it!)
