I loved Tron when I was a kid, and it's got me thinking, I wonder if my oldest [ 10 ] will understand it.....?

Anyone showed their kids the 1982 original ?

And I am really looking forward to the new one out this year.

I re-watched it not too long ago, and was struck by how allegorical the whole thing is - computer programs locked in struggle over belief of all-powerful "users". It's actually a pretty good film, and not just for the ground-breaking-at-the-time visual effects.

I saw it when I was around 10 and found it to be quite a good film, your youngest may not understand the main ideas but will enjoy it all the same.
