We have got VNCon 1.14 installed. The problem i have is that after so long every couple of months or so it becomes corrupt. When you choose to

coonect to a computer by name it shows the wrong computer. The ip address associated with the computer in VNC is wrong. It does not seem to update. I thoughti t was because i had included VNC in a few RIS images but i have reimaged over 400 pc this summer without VNC on the image and it stillis playing up. http://vncon.chronetal.co.uk

I have found a quick way to put it all right by deleteing the DNS look up zone for our domain and then recreating it.

Does anyone know of any issues with it

OR A RELIABLE ATERNATIVE?

Do you have your DHCP leases set to a number of days?

I'd suggest Vcon is not adjusting for the new IP address when each pc's lease runs out and a new address given.

You could turn the lease days off.

Or use LanView3 which will have a slideshow feature very soon - but already has VNC built in. Note that it is still in beta.

Um.... so long as you've only set the IP range in VNCon (and that the range itself doesn't change) AnD have it set to rescan the range every 5 mins, then I cant see the prob.

Do you think imaging pc's from RIS which already had VNC installed could cause a problem?
