ZeroHour Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I liked killing Rawns (I think it was you) on the UAV at the start of the Iraq style map I dont think you expected to be sniped there It was a LONG shot though lol.
Rawns Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 UAV zoom? I have the alt weapons (aka machine gun on UAV) but I cant zoom I think? If you select the Zoom vehicle perk, you can zoom in x12 with the UAV's alt fire instead.

Last night I was in a conquest map and took someone out from 439metres (he was at A, I was at C).

featured_spectre Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I am not 100% on this, however if its like BC1 it goes All guns = 100 kills per gold star All secondaries (Like knife) = 50 kills per gold star All vehicles/stationary weapons = 50 kills per gold star

The levels vary per weapon but generally gold is 100 kills on each weapon, 50 for silver and 25 (I think) for bronze. You can view the current stats on each weapon on Multiplayer->Weapons I have the long range kit for vehicles but really you want to use the alt weapons pack (btw all those come from killing using vehicles etc) as on the UAV that gives you a machine gun and you can own with that.

Pete10141748 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I got this the other night (on Xbox360), love the single player story and finished it in one sitting, I couldn't stop! lol Gotta find the rest of the collectables/satellite uplinks though. The online I've only flirted with so far, it seems to have real potential but I didn't do so well with only the basic kit/limited experience of maps. Time will tell, it certainly captured me enough to keep me playing it for a while and I'm just glad that something has cropped up to fill the gaping hole left by the epic fail-ness of MW2
CAM Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 How are people finding the Pipboy's Playground server? I can't add by IP and the server browser refuses to find more then one multiplay server and nothing for pipboy or playground in the name.
featured_spectre Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 It wont let me add it to favourites, however as its on my history I go on it every so often, what is annoying is that its not hardcore. Softcore = 30 shots in 1 person then they knife you...me no likey softcore
Rawns Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 I had issues finding the server as I was looking for 'pipboy'. I realised that the name filter is case sensitive so when I put in 'PipBoy', it found it almost instantly. Added it to faves and jumped on in!
featured_spectre Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Just did an hour playing Rush alone in a server, destroyed the objs using the tanks (get 50points for damage to obj, hit it 5 times with a tank, plant then run away)...got the vehicle optics, now well on the way to getting the vehicle alt fire

I went assault/medic and planted 3 times because no one was watching for me lol. Put some filters on before you do a search like no full servers etc and it should be faster.

There was a patch the other night that was supposed to have made browsing faster. However if you conduct a full refresh, wait about a minute for it to kick some pings around, and click cancel it will show you a server list a few seconds after clicking cancel. It'll be an incomplete list, but it will have had enough time to ping a few hundred servers. No, you're not the only one. It is still glitchy, and as ZeroHour says, try using filters. It does make it quicker.
