We're using XP N Edition - no WMP for our kiddies.

Will need to ensure that WMP 11 doesn't try and deploy to kids PC's via WSUS though..

Beware the new DRM restrictions in WMP11. You can't 'backup' your licenses any more thus you can't move DRM restricted content from machine to machine. I don't know if it'll affect any software we have here though, I'm unsure what (if anything) is using MS DRM.

Ah I found a hurdle after reading some more. Apparently if you rip CD's withWMP11 you can't move the tracks to another machine as per the DRM restrictions.

I know that it's sort of a topic shift but after the amount of grief I had getting any response from the OB2 when I couldn't get my music to work after upgrading a hard drive I refuse to use anything DRM now..

For school purposes I guess WMP11 might end up on there but not until it has to.. and even then I may find something else more acceptable.
