Hi,

Just something that I'm wondering but at the same time is really annoying me now.

Once you lock your iPhone so you have to tipe your pass code in, the EMERGENCY CALL button is in the left hand bottom corner.... can this be... removed?

Just that everytime I take my phone out my pockets its always at that screen/

Cheers

I doubt it can be removed. Have you thought about getting a case for your phone - so then you're not pressing buttons? Or, do they not have a sliding 'hard lock' switch at the top of the phone to prevent accidental turning on etc...?

I'm fairly sure there is an app somewhere in cydia for this. I can't remember the name which isn't very helpful, but I would have probably done a search for it using an obvious term.

Not sure if thats helpful or not!

Yeah, it lets you dial any number, and for some reason I dialled an 0907 number in my pocket without noticing and it bumped this month’s contract up  it has the scroll lock on as well but it’s just the emergency button which is doing it.

It lets you type any number to dial, but if it is a non-emergency number it won't route the call.

I think only 999, 911 and 112 work on UK/US handsets.

[edit - just read the post above - strange, mine doesn't allow any non-emergency call to be routed!]
