Are going out of business according to an email I was just sent.

Please do not sign up with them as they are rediculous in all that they do.

One very unhappy bunny.

Me too mate, I'm two exams shy of my MCSA, guess I'm going to have to shell out for them myself. Little chance of getting anything from insolvency. PITA. Feel sorry for all those who have only just signed up and got absolutely nothing for their cash.

Been paying three years and only achieved A+.

Not through lack of effort, just had so much on with work and the business.

So gutted, have contacted consumer direct to see if theres anything that can be done. Will keep you updated

The saga continues....

Unable to contact any of the numbers provided. With the student finance company or Advent consulting/training etc.

Finance company looks like a complete joke to me and I'll be amazed if anyone sees any compensation at all.

I'm so annoyed.

Yeah, I'm not feeling hopeful. Money down the pan it seems, not happy not good.

Just waiting to hear from the insolvency people. I'll let you know if I hear anything too.

Thought there were more Advent people on here though.

Yep, £4450 down the drain, I am going to fight though, Ive only recieved 1 paper back book!

Now that is one expensive book!!!!

I've got that book, I'll sell it to anyone who wants it for just £2k... less than half price honest!:troll:

Spoken to some legal people tonight, they say the usual way is big lenders first (banks/business investors) then everyone else. Their voices of past experience says we may get 1p for every pound or some such silly deal.**

**legal angle given from friends with experience, nothing here is actually to be regared as "fact". Any statment made here is purely theory and conjecture.

Im in the same boat, 4950 quid down the drain, was only going to book my 220-602 this week. Im sure the Institute of IT training who's logo which is stamped over the paperwork could sort us out with the learning materials and course fees to complete?

As for the director 6000 students at an average of 5000 quid, surely shouldn't have to rely on a bank loan to keep the company afloat? Maybe its because most of it was pumped into Access2Learns plumbing training?

Not the first time this has happened to me, was robbed to the tune of £850 from the National Distance Learning Centre when that collapsed:sick:

Hey that would be great, as someone who paid in full by cheque, would I be covered under your takeover?

Try contacting the Institute of IT training, as I have just emailed them my case :)

I am in the same boat, having spoke personally to the person at the administrators, their main goal is to find a buyer, if that is sucessful then happy days. If no buyer is found then we are right at the bottom of the pecking order.

Surely this type of company managed succesfully could be a little goldmine?

Hello all. I 'use' to own my own haulage company, not anymore tho. I helped what I thourght was a mate out by paying £5600 (ish) to this advent training. the one year came up so I had to pay or it would double to something like ten grand. I havent seen or heard from this so called mate. He has done me well and good. Had to sell my lorrys and pack up and im now on the dole

Bad thing is there is nothing I can do because they conned me out of the money! That will be the last time i ever help anybody out with money things. Hell if I had that £5600 back I could get a decent car or it would go as a deposit on a house.

I got no gain out of this at all. I was his grantee or something and advent assured me that he would have a job in a few months and he never. I guess i was very silly for doing this in the first place but they were just so good at conning you out of your money.

I think if your a student and you payed your own fees then I dont think there is any chance you will get your money back, if you take them to court then you will only end up more out of pocket (thats why I never). God if only I had not of got into all this I could still be operating a small haulage business. It makes my stomach churn when I think about it and I wish all you people in the same boat all the best

IAN WILKES OF WOLVERHAMPTON / STOURBRIDGE / WILLENHALL AREA YOU OWE ME £5600 'MATE' DONT YOU EVER LET ME SEE YOU AGAIN U SCUM BAG
