Hello all. I 'use' to own my own haulage company, not anymore tho. I helped what I thourght was a mate out by paying £5600 (ish) to this advent training. the one year came up so I had to pay or it would double to something like ten grand. I havent seen or heard from this so called mate. He has done me well and good. Had to sell my lorrys and pack up and im now on the dole
Bad thing is there is nothing I can do because they conned me out of the money! That will be the last time i ever help anybody out with money things. Hell if I had that £5600 back I could get a decent car or it would go as a deposit on a house.
I got no gain out of this at all. I was his grantee or something and advent assured me that he would have a job in a few months and he never. I guess i was very silly for doing this in the first place but they were just so good at conning you out of your money.
I think if your a student and you payed your own fees then I dont think there is any chance you will get your money back, if you take them to court then you will only end up more out of pocket (thats why I never). God if only I had not of got into all this I could still be operating a small haulage business. It makes my stomach churn when I think about it and I wish all you people in the same boat all the best
