Hiya,

My most favourite teacher ever! (ahem) is having an issue with her whiteboards.

She has 2 laptops connected at the moment. When she goes from one to the other the board need calibrating again..

Thinking about it now, can that be caused by the fact that i have forced her to use AP3 on the new laptop but she uses AP2 on her old laptop because its "better".

This is all before my time here!!

But we have Becta/becter? boxes installed. So whiteboard and projector goes into box and then this spilts it into two inputs for the laptop/PC's. For the interactivity a serial cable comes from the box, on which we have a Keyspan adapter on which connects to PC.

Image is controlled by swapping sources on the projector.

Did that make sense?

Presumably the image/video switching works fine and just the interactivity is creating the problem? I'm only speculating (as this isn't a standard configuration), but you may have better luck using a USB connection, or alternatively stick to a standard one PC one whiteboard configuration.

@Little-Miss:

Are the laptops the exact same model or are there subtle differences like resolution factors which come into force here?.

Also set the refresh rates to be exactly the same.

The reason (to add what I said above) to use USB is because it's designed to be plugged in, changed or swapped when the PC is on, whereas Serial isn't. I'd also recommend you run the latest driver too, which is seperate to the AP software.
