Batman Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Our network is CC3, but we have set up certain clients as just standard Windows with no CC3 stuff. Our music department want to have one suite that is not CC3 but still connected to the domain so students pick up their docs etc. The clients are in their own OU and we want the clients to map a network drive when the student logs in. We've done this before to map the S drive for sims using a batch file, but it just isn't working. The batch file is correct, you can run it manually and is maps the drive. Any ideas what is wrong? We're stumped!
kmount Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 You can run it manually as a student and it works? (From the same location, ie via shortcut to the actual batch file?). Nothing in the event logs to say why it failed? Do you have any other logon scripts which *are* working on there?

I can't do it manually as a student, but it should work as the credentials for the share are supplied in the batch file. Will take your advice though, and check the event logs, thanks. @Sylv3r, I can't use the management console to configure anything on the clients because the clients are not CC3'd and we don't want them to be. They're all vanilla, as we like to call it.
kmount Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Whack a shortcut to the batch file into their N drive and log on as them to run it, it might be a software restriction policy preventing it running.

PiqueABoo Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Is GPO loopback processing enabled? I'll just add that if CC3 accounts are logging on to the vanilla machines you definitely need that loopback, plus it has to be Replace mode. 1
