once again all the sweets I recieve of the staff have been given to a childrens home. This year I chose a place in middlesbrough.

pluss I gave a box of sweets to a little boy who is under protection after a horrible case of child abuse.

I just have a tin of buiscuits left which is going to the old peoples home just down the road, then thats it for another year.

feeling really good,

Merry chistmas gang

Well done you! Merry Christmas to you also.

Merry Christmas to you, as you certainly deserve it.

It's really nice to see somebody actually doing something of no benefit to themselves. Well done that man! :)

Well done that man!

I don't get stuff now I'm not in a school, but we have sorted out a collective christmas card within the team, and this year the deserving charity is NSPCC. Quite a few of the LA teams now do this and just send out a collective email to wish other teams a merry Christmas instead.

one of the gifts was a bottle of JD... I've kept that :)

hah!

At least you got gifts! I've done a sterling job this year (and last) helping to bring a new Mac network online, supporting it, troubleshooting it, maintaining it, and at the end of it all got SFA!

My boss appreciates me though :-)

Nice one!

My family on my Grandma's side used to run a Children's home in Middlesbrough years and years ago.

I respect people who look after children who are in dire straits, its a sad world we live in and unfortunately its getting worse... far to many drunk and drug a busing famillies. we had a famillie who lived next door to us that was the type I hate with a passion. You can see the kids suffering just by the way they act in society. I think its aften the parents who act the same treat their kids the same way.

My dad was a a great famillie guy until he had a drink. thats something that makes me stop and think...

I always give flowers to the poeple of the childrens home I choose.

Next year I want to try and get the whole school to select a charity and both staff and kids donate a quid towards a childrens home, rather than presents for each other etc.

I never give chirstmas cards or presents to staff... its always a donation to the people that need it more.

I was in New york this year and I baught a homeless guy a bottle opener and gave him a coffee and some money. the fiancee and I sat with him for a while having a chat.... it was nice

Merry Christmas Kev, I'm sure they will be appreciated. :)

I've decided to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society rather than send cards/gifts to clients this year.

I do this every year... a Merry Christmas 'poster' in the staff room and a donation to charity. This year it was King's Hospital London as one of pupils was treated there for a head injury (not revceived at school)

Well, felt guilty about making my contribution to demolishing the pile of chocs and biscuits we were given this year. We don't usually get much at all, but got a stack load this time so we all dug in!

Have made a donation in recompense to a local charity which is equping a school in Tanzania with desks as they currently don't have any.
