Smoothwall IMAP

We're trying to allow students to be able to use outlook to access their LEA provided webmail. We have managed to get it working by using a direct connection to the LEA provided broadband but when we try going through smoothwall we receive "The connection to the server has failed." How can we make smoothwall allow the imap connection?

(Presuming firewall) - use the "outgoing" section in networking to allow IMAP ports (should already be a port group set up).
