Recover Corrupt Word Document

A challenge for you.

 

Anyone able to recover this word document for me? Tried the built in feature in Word, tried open office, tried a few thired party software on the net but still nothing. Any ideas?

Is this a joke?

All i get is an edugeek webpage, with some error regarding logging into vbulletin as though the site has timed out on you. no corruption.

I mean the page i get up is a word document and the contents is html source from the edugeek website or something made to look like it, saying javascript is required.

I think you may have had problems with the upload. Try again, making sure you have javascript enabled, and no ad blockers or add-ons disabled.

Seems to have uploaded fine actually but not having much joy getting anything out of it... Would think that's you right clicking and saving an edugeek error page? Definitely a corrupt doc for me. All I get text wise out of it at the moment is

Yeah, she did the work ah home and got corrupt when copied to memory stick.

The file headers are missing so it wont ever be openable properly - the program wont know what bit of data is where - has she got a copy at home or will it be quicker to redo it.

My bad. It was freedownloadmanager doing the download and it doesn't have my edugeek login details thus the error. strangely it created a word document and populated it with the erroring webpage. I didn't actually see the error, and continued in the forum as normal. odd.

 

so if it was done at home, you still have an original somewhere???

Open up word --> Tools --> Options --> File Locations

 

That should show you where it has been configured to do auto saves

 

Should be a copy of it there

 

Also if its still corrupt , you can try and make a copy of it and rename it to either htm or html file ext and open and any recoverable info should be in there
