Year 11s on work experiance this week, all the kids finish wednesday then half term from thursday and all next week

Those of you who have 2 weeks but are in state schools - is this because you are on the system that only gives you 4 weeks in the summer or are you just lucky?

Daughter has 2 weeks for half term as they're moving the entire school into a new building. They've basically used their entire year's worth of inset days for the week after the Kent half term hol.

Off until next week here. Being able to have my door open today with no interruptions was heaven :-)

Ha.. my nice quiet time has been foiled by Facilities... they are installing new heating pipes.. directly over my office! Drilling holes through brick walls, banging around in the crawl space over my desk, kicking walls over (thats what it sounds like!) and generally turning my office into what sounds like a war zone... I gave up and went home yesterday.
