Printing photographs :) Onto Canvas :eek:

Here's one out of left field - Do any of you know anywhere good (cheap) for getting digital photographs printed on eg. 2ft by 2ft canvas? I've been asked by our SLT to put some student photographs on the dining room wall like that:rolleyes:

 

(just waiting for Simon from CPLTD to come along and say "we'll do em for a fiver fella":p;))

Do a 2ft square canvas print for £53, which is pretty reasonable. There are lots of other places, but if you look at the prices they're all roughly the same. I've used Foto.com for 12x8 prints before, and was impressed with the quality and speed of delivery, not tried the canvas prints thou.

ASDA has an offer on at the minute, can't quite remember the cost though as I was braindead by the time I'd been dragged round for 2 hours by the mrs

Are they sure they want canvas.... they would get dirty easy.

 

I would recommend to them to get them printed on a proper photo paper and then framed (and if glass in the frame is a issue get it replaced with Perspex/Plastic) which will also make it easy to clean.

I looked at these when I was interested in have a photo blown up to poster size. Seemed reasonable prices.

Im pretty sure if you sign up to deviant art and upload you photo there, you can make it available for purchase and buy a canvas print from yourself. I've haven't done this yet but I'm thinking of trying because they handle all the printing and shipping and they will print onto almost anything (cups, shirts, mouse pads, etc..)

Another vote for PhotoBox i have used them alot in the past and the prints are top notch. There photo books make ideal presents for grandparents

the school i work for have a specailist reprographics studeo, if you phone us on 01642 321212 and ask for nic, if he's not there then please ask for me (lee) we will be able to give you a price.

 

shoould be cheaper than the shops also as its set as an enterprise for the students.
