Just had our line upgraded by the nice people at kingston, went from 1.9mpbs up to running at 5.9mbps just wondering who could boost the highest?

What sort of school do you have running on a 5.6 meg connection. I used to work in a primary school and had to use an onsite proxy and we had a 10 meg connection with 60 odd pcs.

We are running a 1Mb uncapped ADSL line. For South Africa this is a relative novelty, and it is darn expensive, though prices have started to lower slightly.

we have 20Mb but we get about 17 Mb to 18Mb. Its a small private secondary school. We have 40 ish computers + VLE running in house.

Sorry to burst the bubble but we have a Les 100 (that’s 100meg both ways) fibre from our phone room to the local exchange...

We've recently had a brand new wireless link put in, at a stunning speed of..... 2mbit! Yay! To download a 3 - 4 gig file, its actually quicker to walk home, download it and bring it back, and i've only got sky broadband at home!

Upload is always a problem, the speedtest site isn't great for it, but it constantly being logged with C&W as its never what they promised. As for paying, we've set up a payment for the % share, so if we only get 20mb upload we only pay 20% of the 100meg price...if you get what i mean

That seems a great idea. Ill have to mention it to our ISP with our 20 down 2.3 up on a 100/100 mb/s line
