How are you routing between the VLAN's? Do you have an ACL somewhere only defining inter-vlan communication for specfiic protocols/IP's to route to the server VLAN?

Yeah I use to be with Sky couldn't fault their service. The customer service was fantastic the people on the other end of the phone actually new what they were doing!

I'm with o2 its been solid as a rock and its cheap, also got it a bit cheaper being an o2 mobile customer. Check the cash back websites as well as they sometimes have deals on there.

how are the kids accessing the wireless settings? Could you not just hide the notification area and network connection link in the start menu? Hide notification area is in User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Start Menu and Taskbar

Any ideas as to why ActivStudio 3 prints 3 copies every time you ask it to print a flipchart? It's only occurring on a single machine.

Basically I want an email when a certain device becomes active on the network. (I have the IP address of the device)

Again that would be useful if it kept trying to ping, then said ping on ...... and the time Or am I missing something?

Yeah got that already monitoring all the systems, but I want it the other way round instead of sending an email when a host goes down, I want it to send it when a host goes up, suppose I could just tell it to send a down message once then it will send a message when it comes back up. Should of thought of that

Does anyone have a ping utility that can keep pinging an ip address, perhaps every 15 minutes and send an email if a reply is received. I'm trying to find out when a device is being plugged into the network. Any other way of doing it would also be appreciated.

The only time I've ever had problems accessing the windows update site is when the time and date of a machine have been incorrect.
