We used towelling for both our daughters and 16 years later they can still be used for cleaning windows etc.

Well the new washable nappies are easier to use with their waterproof outers just fold the inner insert and then you have 2 velcro tabs to close.

 

My girls are 2yrs and 7months respectively so lots of nappies still around.
