Linking 10 seperate word documents to create one PDf

Does any body know of any freeware little app, that i can install on a machine for the deputy head so that she can link different word docs together to create one large PDF, without using adobe, as we don't have a license!!

Maybe long winded, but...

 

Use OpenOffice and copy/paste the contents of the documents into one large doc then save as PDF?

I have been using the free version of PDF Redirect for this kind of thing.

 

You can drag each Word doc to a merge list, then you can merge them!

yeah i had thort of the open office thing, but remember "teacher" was mentioned! will try the PDf redirect see if that easier for them

I've just given my head primopdf and then showed him how to insert a page from file in word

You could always do it the other way round - print all 10 docs to PDF then join the PDFs, lots of free apps around for that

Yup - I second this. Very quick, and more importantly, accurate output from PDF Creator.

I use it for creating PDFs all the time. (Creates a "PDF Printer" you can print from anything to, and "prints" it into a PDF)

You can then use PDF Tools to combine them.

1. Install pdf995, pdfedit995 and signature995 from here pdf 995: create PDF documents easily for free

 

2. Use to create pdf for each word document (File > Print to pdf995)

 

3. use pdfedit995 to merge pdfs in any order you want (My biggest merge so far 140 separate 1 page documents!)

 

Very straightforward
