Simcfc73 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Just spent the day running a stall at our School Fair. Now I have built my career of scaring kids into not breaking my network but now they have seen me laughing and joking and having, dare I say, fun. I am not looking forward to Monday now... the little buggers will talk to me now PS. Bucking Bronco is pretty hard to do.
rad Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Always a good thing getting the kids on your side! Trust me, they may even hold the door open when you come through carrying a large box.
john Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Its good the students realise your human and not just the man that blocks there fun online and makes life difficult
SteveB_NI Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Its good the students realise your human and not just the man that blocks there fun online and makes life difficult The students here seem always amazed & in complete awe when they see me out shopping in town. To the extent where a few girls stopped, pointed, and told each of their friends "he works in my school!" The cinema is another area where it's a surprise for them to see me.
IanT Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Haha, I used to live 5mins round the corner to my old school and I always used to see the kids...............when going down too the shop and shopping in Lakeside...they always seemed amazed that im a human doing other things...........
karldenton Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Nice to hear that mate. I always try to help outside school as its good for the kids to see you in a different light. A few of us staff take some kids to squash once a week and the kids love beating you at that !
