OverWorked Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I was a goth about 15 years ago. But, according to that I still am!
Ric_ Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hmmm... I fullfilled 19 of those criteria (not 5) - does that make me a goth?
GrumbleDook Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I think the above site would classify most SysAdmins and Bobs as goths ... I mean ... "expresses an interest in sex" But I think the key ones have got to be ... -sleeps too excessively or too little [we work flippin' hard ... we *need* to sleep] -demands an unusual amount of privacy [the next teacher that walks into my office whilst I am sat at my computer and say "Whilst you're not busy..." I will give a biology lesson to ... "notice how the human genetalia are not design to be slammed in a desk drawer"] -requests time alone and quietness (this is so your child may speak to evil spirits through meditation) [i suppose trying to put a support call into County support might be construed as speaking to evil spirits ... ok ... I'll let that pass] and my favourite has got to be ... -associated with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically [Flippin' 'eck ... that clinches it for pretty much anyone working in a school!] I suppose it could be worse. They forgot to mention Harry Potter, Tolkein, Pratchett, Sci-Fi, anything more technologically advanced than the abacus ...
