Errrrrr, I've seen better fakes.

Magnified the picture to quite a high level and examined the edge of the animal against the background.....

Still, I expect nothing more from the Daily Wail !!

seems genuine to me, and the article was also in the Grauniad and the Torygraph amongst others, so not a Wail hype!

A very similar thing happened to me when I went to take a photo of 2 squirrels by the lake. Scared the hell outta me. ........
