PEO Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Just blocked this site, mind you it gave us a good laugh. Mixed Wrestling Holds Gallery 1
tom_newton Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Can I take a vote on what category to put it in? Sport? Violence? Adult? There's no serious nudity,or violence, but all the same, it is hardly sport....
RinSewand Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 (edited) Hmmm - do you think stamp collectors look at that occasionally and wonder where their hobby all went wrong... RwD Edited July 14, 2009 by RinSewand
mediatechnologist Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Why do we persist on blocking everything that's any fun at all?
ICT_GUY Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Fun might offend someone. Bodies are bad, anything to do with fun reproduction is bad, All the good stuff is bad. I mean there is nothing the world that is better than offending some *hole and even that's not allowed. Its all pants
FN-GM Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 is it really worth blocking? I dont think, it wont be blocked here.
mjs_mjs Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I dont think, it wont be blocked here. nor here - too much time taken to do it - it's not porn so wont be blocked. if we block this hobby (which it is for some) then we should block others to keep it fair; like googling??? cant see that going down well anywhere.
tom_newton Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Wouldn't suggest blocking it... as I said - seems harmless enough! We like to make sure things are categorised though (we're a bit OCD like that) so people can say "ooh, look, we used 23Mb downloading sites about sheep yesterday"
OutToLunch Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Wouldn't suggest blocking it... as I said - seems harmless enough! We like to make sure things are categorised though (we're a bit OCD like that) so people can say "ooh, look, we used 23Mb downloading sites about sheep yesterday" But were they cheviot or swaledale? Doesn't sound like you're putting enough effort in to me 1
john Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Wouldn't suggest blocking it... as I said - seems harmless enough! We like to make sure things are categorised though (we're a bit OCD like that) so people can say "ooh, look, we used 23Mb downloading sites about sheep yesterday" I demand to know where this Sheep based report is! I have yet to find a sheep report on my UTM and for us as a rural college with lots of farmers would be a very useful report!
tom_newton Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I see we can't pull the wool over your eyes john, but we've had to cull the sheep report, for the shear amount of baaad data it was producing. Normally we'd thoroughly test before dipping into a new field like this, but Tony (Grumbledook) asked us to do it OK, I am fresh out of sheep puns. Especially ones based on Edugeekers' names. Where's Darren when you need him? That lad is a master punner. 1
john Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 hehe made me chuckle that one this evening I certainly enjoy reports in the unit now, they are much better since FP2 Find a few sites each week that go onto the ban list
tom_newton Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 hehe made me chuckle that one this evening I certainly enjoy reports in the unit now, they are much better since FP2 Find a few sites each week that go onto the ban list Remember to send them through so everyone benefits
john Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Will do when the LEA stop blocking it and the box becomes more responsive, a 1ltr corsa responds better than the UTM is at present, currently re-optimising the database tonight so fingers crossed its on form tomorrow
linkazoid Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Just been observing a class using Impero.... and found another site to block - Java2Script Pacemaker Online messenger..... Mike
