Our sports dept has put in a request for a sports / dance analysis software package.

I know nothing about these apps, does anyone here have any experience and recommendations?

If you want to know what type of software and what it needs to do then this is one package that I found that seems to do the right things:

Video Analysis Software - Dartfish

Any info would be useful.

Thanks

I can't remember too clearly but I think £3 to £4K. I think that was for about 4 or 5 full package licences for teacher laptops then we got 30 cut down versions for students to use.

It was in the days of Elearning Credits so people got a lot of software that way.

Dartfish here as well - but it doesn't get used as much as it should. Head of PE is going to ensure its used a bit more next year though.

Dartfish is what we use here aswell.

Good piece of software, but as another poster has said, not used too much. We have a GTP here who is very good with it though and it's now being used a lot more.

I'm always happy to consider open source software - especially under the current budget constraints! :(

How easy is Kinovea to use though? This is to be used by sport teachers don't forget! :D Do your staff get on with it OK?

We don't use it as I said we have motion coach pro but that's not used very much and we only have limited licences. I might take a look at Kinovea so that all the sports teachers can have it.
